The city’s Heritage Committee will unveil a plaque on Sept. 15 recognizing 191 Brock Street S. as a Designated Heritage Site.
Built in 1883, the yellow brick Victorian Revival home maintains much of its original character and design materials, including decorative wooden gable ends and brackets, City Hall says.
The designation at 1 p.m. will also recognize the effort of owners Erin and Heather Callister to protect the two-storey home’s heritage characteristics.
“The integrity of this historic building lives on,” said city planner Max Williams.
The ceremony will bring to 29 the number of homes, churches and other sites that have received heritage designation in Sarnia.
The Sarnia Heritage Committee is an appointed committee that advises City council on conservation and heritage.
