After test-driving a pair of distinctive green solar-powered transit shelters on Exmouth Street last year, the city has selected Unconquered Sun to install about four more of the units.
Each saves around $400 a year in electricity costs and doesn’t require underground service repairs, city staff says.
Unconquered Sun is a Tecumseh-based company that was purchased by Bluewater Power in 2015.
