The Sarnia Sting made two more trades last week, swapping future draft picks for two active players.

From the Ottawa 67’s the Sting received centre Drake Rymsha, a hard-nosed forward who registered 15 goals and 29 points in 37 contests with Ottawa this season.

Sting brass have had their eye on the Michigan native for some time, said general manager Nick Sinclair.

“He’s a multi-dimensional player that brings a combination of skill and grit to the rink every night.”

In return, Sarnia sent two second-round picks and a third and fourth round pick to the 67’s.

Three days later the Sting acquired Theo Calvas from the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in exchange for a 7th round pick in 2018.

Calvas, also a Michigan native, is a right-shot defenceman who has played 54 games over two seasons with the Greyhounds.
