Hospice fundraiser at Imperial Theatre

Residents with a hankering for ‘50s and ‘60s music can get their fill when Muskoka Melody performs at the Imperial Theatre.

The eight-piece band normally plays Northern Ontario venues but is making the trip south because percussionist Ric Brown hails from Corunna.

“My brother lives in Gravenhurst and he asked me to part of the group, and I fell in love with it in a hurry,” Brown said.

The show is a fundraiser with all proceeds to the St. Joseph’s Hospice.

Sarnia has an older demographic so music from the ‘50s and 60s remains popular here.

“With places like the Strangway Centre, and the same aged crowd, they’ll probably love the music. It will be a lot of fun,” said Brown, who has been a member of local theatre productions.

The show is Saturday, Sept. 24 at the Imperial Theatre, starting at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets, $27.50, are available at the Box Office, 519-344-7469.
