Female athlete of the meet

Northern Collegiate’s Lauren Perkins was named female athlete of the Meet at the Lambton-Kent high school track and field finals on May 11 in Chatham. St. Clair Secondary’s Michael Pugsley was male athlete of the meet.

Northern Collegiate’s Lauren Perkins was named female athlete of the Meet at the Lambton-Kent high school track and field finals on May 11 in Chatham.

St. Clair Secondary’s  Michael Pugsley was male athlete of the meet.

Perkins won the junior girls 400-metre dash, 800-metre run (seen here), the 1,500-metre run, and was a member of the victorious open girls 4X400 relay team.

Her performance helped Northern to a clean sweep at the award presentations. Athletes from the city high school claimed all six division titles: midget boys and girls, junior boys and girls, senior boys and girls, as well as the overall team title.
