Two former Northern teammates each made it to the podium at the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) Wrestling Championships at Algoma University in Sault Ste. Marie.
Emily Schaefer, now attending Brock University in St. Catharines, captured gold in the women’s 59 kg event, while McMaster’s Robbie Smith won bronze in the men’s 54 kg category.
The national collegiate championships will be held this weekend at Brock.
