New principals at city Catholic schools

A number of Sarnia’s Catholic elementary schools are getting new administrators in the new year. Starting Jan. 1, Bill Nelson will become the new principal at Sacred Heart, moving over from Holy Rosary in Wyoming.

A number of Sarnia’s Catholic elementary schools are getting new administrators in the new year.

Starting Jan. 1, Bill Nelson will become the new principal at Sacred Heart, moving over from Holy Rosary in Wyoming.

Barbara Armstrong, currently vice principal at St. Matthew, will be the new principal at Holy Rosary.

Mark Bernard, now a teacher in Wallaceburg, will assume some of the vice principal’s job at St. Matthew.

And effective Feb. 1, Liz Bujaki will move up to principal from vice principal at Gregory A. Hogan.

Margaret DeGurse, currently a system librarian, will take on some of the vice principal’s job at Gregory A. Hogan.

Some of the moves follow the announced retirement of principals Anita Cairns at Sacred Heart and Elena Pagotto at Gregory A. Hogan.
