As expected, Derek Drouin captured the men’s high jump with a leap of 2.34 metres, breaking a national meet record that had stood for nearly three decades.

Drouin’s older sister Jillian was fourth in both senior women’s high jump and shot put, and fifth in long jump.

Riley Wilhelm placed seventh in the junior women’s discus, and Robert Hughes placed fifth in both the seated javelin and seated shotput events in the para portion of the championships.

Derek and Jillian Drouin are both competing at the Pan Am Games in Toronto.
