Writers in Transition is embarking on a tour of Sarnia-Lambton libraries in coming months, with members giving presentations and readings as part of Sarnia’s Centennial celebrations.
“We’re hoping to use this to get people involved in the literary world,” said co-organizer Margaret Bird. “We want to spark interest in local writers, and get people to come out and join us.”
The 90-minute events feature a core trio – Bird, Norma West Linder and James Deahl – with two additional writers from the group appearing at different stops.
Writers in Transition recently published ‘A River Runs by It,” an anthology honouring Sarnia’s first 100 years as a city.
The group will also appear at the big June 28 Centennial event at the RBC Centre.
