Bluewater Boxing Club brings an exciting Canada vs Scotland international showdown to Lambton College on May 8 as Champions for Children Round 3 lights up Sarnia with competitive bouts featuring nationally ranked athletes, local talent, and boxers from across Ontario.

Local boxers will step into the ring against a visiting team from Scotland on Friday, May 8, as Bluewater Boxing Club hosts its third annual Champions for Children event at Lambton College.
The card features competitive bouts between Canadian and Scottish athletes, including nationally ranked fighters and participants from multiple clubs on both sides. Boxers from across Ontario are also expected to compete. The event includes male and female divisions, highlighting the growing inclusivity in amateur boxing.

The Scottish team arrives in Sarnia on May 5 and departs May 11. Organizers encourage the community to watch for the visiting athletes as they tour the area between training and competition.
Head Coach Tom Hennessey, who founded Bluewater Boxing Club in 1995 and serves as its president, described the event as a chance to support local talent while building international connections through sport. Bluewater Boxing Club operates as a non-profit amateur program open to all ages and skill levels from its base at 142 Front Street North.
This international matchup continues a tradition of community-rooted boxing events in Sarnia–Lambton that bring people together, showcase youth and adult athletes, and keep the focus on positive development through the sport.
