A concerned resident questions the ethics of a public servant running a private consultancy firm focused on law enforcement data and public safety analytics.

The Chief of Police in any Ontario community should not have their own side business, let alone a consultant firm. Especially one that has to do with public safety analytics and the future need of law enforcement data and analysis.
Does his firm provide services to other police forces in the country? If so, Mr Davis would be making money from taxpayers not once but twice as he's a paid public servant, while his firm would be paid from the municipal taxpayers of the forces the firm consults.
This stinks just like Julian Fantino and the de-criminalization of marijuana sham. No pun intended.
