nuSarnia is bringing its popular family cycling event to a new location at Canatara Park to accommodate growing interest from local families.

nuSarnia has announced that its 3rd Annual Kids Bike Rally will take place on Saturday, June 13, 2026, marking a move to Canatara Park to host the expanding community event. Running from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, the rally is designed for boys and girls aged 4 to 12 and focuses on building cycling confidence through interactive activities.
Participants will navigate a fun obstacle course and a bike loop featuring various activity booths. Each child receives an event passport to collect stamps as they ride, which grants them a chance to spin a prize wheel upon completion. The first 200 children to check in at the event will also receive a swag bag.
“It’s a day designed to build confidence, get outside, and connect with the community,” said Kerry Gabriel, Community Partnerships and Events Manager for nuSarnia. “Over the past two years, more than 250 kids and their families have taken part, and we can’t wait to welcome even more riders this year.”
The move to Canatara Park reflects the event's rapid growth and the addition of new local partners. This year, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Sarnia-Lambton and BGC Sarnia-Lambton have joined as co-hosts. Organizers say the collaboration helps reinforce the rally's mission of youth empowerment and healthy living.
“BGC Sarnia-Lambton is proud to be part of the 2026 Kids Bike Rally,” said Jaylene Henry, Executive Director of BGC Sarnia-Lambton. “Supporting opportunities that promote healthy lifestyles, confidence, and connection align closely with our mission to empower young people to reach their full potential.”

The event is supported by several local businesses and organizations, including presenting sponsor The Sarnia Centre and major sponsor Blackwater Coffee Co. Gabriel Diamond, Vice President of Well Grounded Real Estate, noted that investing in the rally is part of a commitment to creating welcoming spaces that bring the city together.
Registration for the rally is free, though families are encouraged to sign up online by Monday, June 8, as spots typically fill quickly. Parents and guardians are welcomed and encouraged to ride along with their children throughout the morning. Community members are also invited to get involved by volunteering.
