It is with great sadness that the family of Joyce Catherine Cook (née Buchanan) announces her passing on April 9, 2026, at North Lambton Lodge, at the age of 87.
Joyce was the beloved partner and best friend of Bill Bearss, and the loving mother of Pat (Ken), Jack, and Jeff (Andrea). She was a proud grandmother to Krystal, Lisa, Nicole, Anita, Dan, and Jason, and a cherished great-grandmother of six. Joyce was predeceased by her husband, Jerry Cook.
An artist at heart, Joyce found great joy in painting. She also loved to travel south in search of warmth and treasured her time along the Maitland River.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the staff at North Lambton Lodge for their compassionate care and support.
Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Joyce’s Life will be held at a later date.
