Free concert series Rhythms of Lambton returns to Sarnia Library Theatre

Lambton County Library’s popular Rhythms of Lambton concert series is back for its fifth year, offering a diverse lineup of free local musical performances throughout March and April.

The Rhythms of Lambton concert series is returning for its fifth year, showcasing a variety of local musical talent at the Sarnia Library Theatre. Organized by the Lambton County Library, the series offers the community free access to live performances ranging from Celtic tunes to big band swing.

While the concerts are free to attend, the library requires all guests to register in advance. Residents can secure their spots through the Lambton County Library events calendar at lclibrary.ca.

The 2026 season kicks off on Wednesday, March 4, with the Lambton Concert Band. Performing from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., the ensemble continues a long-standing local tradition featuring a full range of brass and woodwind instruments.

On Thursday, March 12, the theatre will host Fáilte from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Sarnia-based Irish band is known for upbeat Celtic and East Coast songs, performing jigs and reels with the fiddle, flute, and guitar.

Country music takes the stage on Thursday, March 26, with singer-songwriter Joan Spalding. A multi-instrumentalist, Spalding’s 7:00 p.m. performance will feature her work on the guitar, banjo, mandolin, and double reed harmonica.

The series continues into April with The Georgian Singers on Thursday, April 9. The Sarnia men’s choir, led by director Steve Carapiet and accompanied by pianist Gwen Butler, will perform from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The final announced performance features The Forest Excelsior Band on Thursday, April 16, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. As one of the longest-running civilian bands in Canada, the group will provide an evening dedicated to jazz and swing music.
