Sarnia’s Boneyard Band is transitioning from classic rock covers to original music with a high-energy benefit concert supporting Noelle’s Gift and Operation Christmas Tree.

The Boneyard Band is set to take the stage at the Imperial Theatre on April 1 for a night of music dedicated to supporting Sarnia-Lambton’s youth. Hosted by K106.3’s Rob Jenkins, the event serves as a major fundraiser for Noelle’s Gift to Children and Operation Christmas Tree, two local charities focused on supporting children within the Sarnia and Corunna communities.
The performance marks a significant milestone for the band as they introduce their own original material to the local scene. While the members have spent decades performing in various bands across Southwestern Ontario, the Boneyard Band has spent the last two years building a dedicated following known as "The Skeleton Crue". Their original songs are scheduled to begin airing on K106.3 this March.
"We feel the power in music and the passion that comes with playing it live and wanted to bring forward Boneyard Band's next chapter of our own sound, and energy so our fans can join us on this new journey moving forward," said band coordinator and drummer Leo Dumoulin. "It's about the love of music and using it in the best ways possible in our community".
The lineup features lead vocalist Sean Boivin, Leo Dumoulin on drums and percussion, bassist Grant Caudle, and a powerful guitar section including Brad Vandeheuvel, John North, and Randy Leeson. Local favorites Brenda’s Band will open the evening. Dumoulin noted that teaming up with the opening act was an easy choice because "they support local charities much like Boneyard Band does".
Community support has been central to the event’s organization, with local sponsors George Langstaff & Sons Construction, Padre’s Grill House, and Innovative Construction helping to make the charity night possible. The band hopes the success of this show will allow it to become an annual tradition for the region.
Doors open at 6 p.m. with the show running from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.. Tickets are available exclusively through the Imperial Theatre website, with VIP options including a meet-and-greet with the band and official Boneyard merchandise.
