Peacefully, surrounded by loving family on Friday, October 2nd, 2026, Vic Perdeaux passed away at the age of 73 at Bluewater Health.

Beloved husband of Sharon Perdeaux, with whom Vic was just shy of celebrating 53 years of marriage. Loving father to Lori Perdeaux and Stacey (Cody) Shipp. Cherished grandfather to Sydney and Kennedy Shipp. Dear brother of Geoff (Kathy) Perdeaux and Rick (Corinne) Perdeaux, and brother-in-law to Debbie, Brenda (Don), Barry (Isabell), Helena (Sean), Lisa and Carole MacKey. Predeceased by his parents, whom he shared a special, deep bond with Ken and Doreen Perdeaux, and his in-laws, Howard and Marilyn MacKey. He will be deeply missed by his extended family, neighbours and friends whose lives were touched by his warmth, generosity and love.

Vic was athletic, playing hockey, baseball, golf and riding his bicycle to Alberts for his favourite fries under the bridge. He was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs and Blue Jays fan. He started his career opening Vic’s Variety Store, becoming an entrepreneur at 22 years old. Vic served the community from a young age as a police officer, retiring as a Staff Sargeant with the Sarnia Police Service. He was a handyman and always offered to lend assistance to anyone who needed it. In his spare time, Vic and Sharon travelled a couple times year, often cruising. His grand puppy Bailey put a smile on his face every weekly visit and he loved having a laugh with Marc. Vic was a generous soul who always cheered for others to succeed.

Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at the Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line in Sarnia on Thursday, October 15th, 2026, from 7-9pm. A funeral service will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Friday, October 16th, 2026, at 1pm with a reception to follow.
