Moore Optimists stock used book sale with thousands of donations
Book lovers can fill their shelves with gently used fiction, mysteries, children’s books and more at a dollar each, while supporting local youth programs in Corunna, Mooretown and Courtright.

The Optimist Club of Moore will host a used book sale Oct. 3, offering readers a chance to find their next great read while supporting programs that benefit local children and youth.
The sale will feature thousands of gently used books donated by community members, with titles spanning fiction, mysteries, children's books and other genres. All books are priced at $1 each.
"All of these books have been generously donated by people in our community," says the Optimist Club of Moore. "It's a great way to find some new-to-you books while supporting programs that benefit local children and youth."
The book sale builds on the success of previous fundraising efforts by the club, which has consistently received strong community support. Proceeds support a variety of youth activities across Corunna, Mooretown and Courtright, including school programs, sports and other community initiatives.
The Optimist Club of Moore has a long history of investing in young people and community-led projects throughout the region. The club provides financial backing for numerous youth-focused initiatives.
The Oct. 3 event offers residents an accessible way to support the club's work while enjoying the simple pleasure of finding a new book.
The book sale runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3 at the Optimist Hall, located at 392 Lyndoch St. (Hill Street Entrance), Corunna. Cash only. Early arrival is recommended for the best selection. Residents are encouraged to bring friends and family.
