Kids Funfest returns to Centennial Park on Aug. 15

The City of Sarnia is bringing back its family-friendly Kids Funfest at a new location, with performances, activities, and community programs planned for the day.

The City of Sarnia is once again hosting Kids Funfest, a family-friendly event connecting local families with community programs and services.

This year's event moves to a new location. Kids Funfest will run Saturday, Aug. 15 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Centennial Park, using the open field and Suncor Agora Stage.

The event brings together organizations, clubs, and businesses that serve families and children. Each group will offer information about their programs along with a free interactive activity for attendees.

"Kids Funfest has become a staple event in our community bringing local organizations, clubs, businesses, and families together in a creative and interactive way," said Recreation Coordinator Rebecca Warren. "It’s a great opportunity to try something new and learn about local programs offered in our community."

Highlights include musical, magic, circus, and juggling performances on the stage, along with concessions, Red Line Inflatables, Touch-a-Truck, and other activities.

The Suncor Agora parking lot will be closed from 7 a.m. until the end of the event to accommodate the Touch-a-Truck activity and ensure participant and attendee safety. Attendees are encouraged to use active transportation, public transit, or park in other municipal lots on Front Street and Harbour Road.
