A Mighty Fine Mess announces debut EP Keep Your Head Up, releasing July 18

Local rock band A Mighty Fine Mess is making waves with the announcement of their debut EP, Keep Your Head Up , set to drop on July 18 across all major streaming platforms.

The five-track EP delivers what fans have come to expect from the band’s gritty sound: powerful guitar riffs, dynamic vocals, and lyrics with emotional weight. The new release follows a string of successful singles, Black Eye, The Reason, and In My Head, which have earned the band international attention, including radio play in the U.S., Mexico, France, and Brazil.

Recorded at Circle Studios in Sarnia, Keep Your Head Up builds on A Mighty Fine Mess’s reputation for high-energy modern rock with clear influences from classic and '90s rock. The EP is the result of a year-long creative process where the band honed their sound and pushed their songwriting further.

Fans will get their first chance to hear the new material live on August 2 when the band takes the stage at Captain Kidd Days in Corunna.

Formed in Sarnia, A Mighty Fine Mess began as a cover band before shifting to original songwriting during the pandemic. The lineup includes Steve Butterfield on lead vocals, Nic Swales on lead guitar and backing vocals, Paul Wilkins on rhythm guitar, Will Wyville on bass guitar, and Glenn Howlett on drums.
