CCF Sarnia to launch Franco50 storytelling project at Multicultural Supper and Show

A dinner and stage show on June 27 will mark the public launch of a province-wide project documenting 50 years of Francophone life in Sarnia-Lambton.

The Centre communautaire francophone de Sarnia-Lambton (CCFS) is inviting the public to a Multicultural Supper and Show on Saturday, June 27 at 5 p.m., an event that doubles as the official launch of its Franco50 project, "Jasons Sarnia: Portraits of a Vibrant Francophonie."

The evening will combine international dishes with live performances, framed as a celebration of the cultural diversity present in the Sarnia-Lambton region.

Jasons Sarnia is the local chapter of "Celebrating 50 Years, Shaping the Future Together," a provincial artistic and community project led by the Office of the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario. The initiative is carried out in partnership with the Alliance culturelle de l'Ontario and receives support from the Government of Ontario, the Ontario Arts Council, and TFO.

The Franco50 project centres on 50 years of Francophone pride in the province, built through video storytelling and an interactive exhibition created with local Francophone youth.

"This multicultural dinner is an opportunity to come together, celebrate our community, and officially launch a project that captures our shared story," said Tanya Tamilio, president of the Centre communautaire francophone de Sarnia-Lambton.

Tickets are available through the CCFS online boutique.
