Classical orchestra brings Mozart to Sarnia Library Theatre

The International Symphony Orchestra’s Sunday matinee performance will feature Principal Clarinetist Sam Martin in Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto.

The International Symphony Orchestra is bringing its "Falling for Mozart" concert series to Sarnia on Nov. 1, offering audiences an opportunity to experience some of the classical composer's most celebrated works.

The performance takes place at the Sarnia Library Theatre, 124 Christina Street South, at 3 p.m. Tickets are available online.

Maestro Douglas Bianchi will lead the orchestra through a program that opens with the Lucio Silla Overture and closes with the Jupiter Symphony. The centrepiece of the concert is Mozart's Clarinet Concerto in A Major, performed by ISO Principal Clarinetist Sam Martin.

According to the concert announcement, the program balances "the rare alongside the grand," combining lesser-known works with some of Mozart's most iconic compositions. The performance celebrates what organizers describe as "the timeless beauty of the classical orchestra."

Tickets for the Sarnia performance are available through Ticketspice. For additional information, contact the ISO at [email protected] or call 1-877-542-2680 toll-free.

The orchestra is also performing the same program in Marysville, Michigan on Oct. 30 at 7:30 p.m. More details are available at www.theiso.org.
