A theatrical comedy inspired by the television series The Golden Girls drew strong interest in Sarnia, prompting the addition of a second performance at the Imperial Theatre.
Golden Girls: The Laughs Continue features an original storyline that reunites the iconic characters in a modern setting filled with humour and unexpected twists. The story picks up with Sophia facing legal trouble after being accused of running a criminal operation from her retirement home, while Blanche and Rose launch an unconventional business venture aimed at seniors. Dorothy attempts to keep everything under control while navigating her own complicated romantic life.
The live production offers a fresh take on the familiar characters while maintaining the spirit of friendship and comedic timing that made the television series a classic.
The production features a professional touring cast portraying the well-known characters, along with supporting roles drawn from the original show’s universe. The performance is intended for adult audiences due to mature themes.
VIP ticket holders seated in the front orchestra section will have an opportunity to meet the cast after the performance, take photos on stage, and receive autographs. Merchandise purchased at the venue may also be signed during the meet and greet experience.
