A new exhibition, "In Colour," is set to open at the Gallery in the Grove, featuring the work of two celebrated local artists: London-based realist painter Ron Pearce and Petrolia printmaker Susan Perry. The show, which promises to be a vibrant showcase of passion and dedication, opens on September 13th with a reception from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will run until October 25th.

Ron Pearce has garnered significant acclaim throughout his career, with his paintings being exhibited in prestigious venues like Canada House in Banff, the Amsterdam Whitney Gallery in New York City, and the McMichael Gallery in Kleinburg. His work has also been featured five times at the esteemed Western Art Showcase at the Calgary Stampede, and he has received more than 20 "Best of Show" awards, including six from Paint Ontario. “I put my heart and soul into my art,” Pearce says. “It has taken me places I would never have dreamed.”

Joining him is Susan Perry, who will be showcasing her colour work for the first time. As a lifelong artist and dedicated printmaker, Perry's unique style is rooted in decades of daily sketching and figure drawing. Her relief prints, often meticulously carved in linoleum and hand-printed with a wooden spoon, blend discipline with personal storytelling. Her extensive sketchbooks serve as a visual diary of her artistic journey.

Together, Pearce and Perry offer a dynamic and heartfelt exhibition that celebrates the artistry of realism and printmaking. Each piece is a testament to their craft and dedication.

Gallery in the Grove, a volunteer-run registered charitable organization, supports arts education in the Sarnia-Lambton area. The gallery is open to visitors from Monday to Thursday, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information, visit www.galleryinthegrove.com.
