The Centre communautaire francophone de Sarnia-Lambton is turning up the temperature this winter with a friendly chili competition on February 21, 2026. The event, held at 901 Rapides Avenue, invites residents to gather for a day of food, music, and community connection.
The competition is open to all skill levels, including amateur cooks, professional chefs, and local teams. Participants will compete for bragging rights in an environment designed to celebrate local flavors and communal spirit.
Beyond the tastings, the afternoon will feature:
Themed games and live music
Prize draws and surprises for both guests and competitors
An official jury to evaluate the entries
The event runs from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. and aims to provide a spicy but not too hot atmosphere suitable for all ages. This gathering highlights the importance of local institutions in fostering a sense of belonging and ownership among Sarnia-Lambton residents.
Those interested in entering their chili or volunteering for the official jury can register through the community center's official online portal.
