Local comics set to take the stage for round two of amateur comedy series

The Forest Golf Club & Inn will host the second qualifying round of its amateur comedy competition this Saturday, featuring several performers from the Sarnia area.

Round 2 of the 3rd Annual Laugh-In Amateur Comedy Series kicks off at the Forest Golf Club & Inn on Saturday, February 7. The event serves as the second of four qualifying rounds leading up to a championship final scheduled for March 21.

The upcoming show features a lineup of ten competitors, including Sarnia residents David Burrows, Alex Weber, and Colin McColeman. McColeman enters this round with momentum after being named the runner-up in the first round of the series. Other competitors traveling to the region include performers from Guelph, Burlington, Hamilton, Milton, Toronto, and Markham.

Sarah Cornell of Grand Bend has already secured her spot in the March finals after winning the opening round. Both she and McColeman have qualified for the Laugh-In Final.

The comedy series is an age of majority event, restricted to those 19 and older. While entry to the show is free, organizers require table reservations due to limited seating.
