The Sarnia-Lambton community is invited to mark Black History Month with a high-energy celebration of culture, food, and music. On Saturday, February 14, the Centre communautaire francophone Sarnia-Lambton (CCFS) will host a Market & Show at 3-901 Promenade The Rapids.

The event kicks off at 4:30 p.m. with a bustling market where residents can support local artisans and independent creators. Families can enjoy a variety of activities throughout the evening, including:

  • Market and local food starting at 4:30 p.m.

  • Dedicated kids’ crafts for younger attendees.

  • A live show featuring international artist Abel Maxwell at 6:30 p.m.

  • A community music and dance party beginning at 8:00 p.m.

The celebration will feature diverse flavors from the region, with food provided by Alie’s Kwizin and Chef’s House of Flavour.

Supported by organizations such as the Regroupement Africain, Caribéen et Canadien, these initiatives provide a platform for residents to connect with the diverse experiences of their neighbors. Interested residents can find further details and registration information on the CCF Sarnia website.
