The Noelle’s Gift to Children annual charity gala returns this Saturday, continuing a legacy of community generosity that has now surpassed $4.7 million in total funds raised for students across Sarnia-Lambton and Chatham-Kent.
The 8th annual "An Evening in Paris" black-tie gala takes place January 24, 2026, at the Four Points by Sheraton in Point Edward. The event serves as a primary fundraiser for the organization’s mission to ensure local children have the resources to "Grow up Great."
Named in loving memory of Noelle Paquette, the charity is fueled by a small army of volunteers dedicated to her vision that every child should be a "smash hit." In 2025 alone, the organization distributed $374,500 to the Sarnia-Lambton and Chatham-Kent school boards to support students in need.
A major focus for the organization is the School Closet Initiative, which provides students with immediate, discreet access to necessities like clothing, hygiene products, and school supplies. While 89 closets have been installed to date, 58 still require sponsorship to remain fully stocked.
The organization operates with minimal administrative costs, ensuring the majority of funds are donated back to local schools and marginalized children. The 2025 gala alone raised $147,000, while other events like "Light Up the Night" and various family fun days further bolstered the charity's reach.
The evening features a full itinerary of community-backed support:
Doors open at 4:30 p.m. in the Venetian Ballroom for registration and a photo booth.
A pre-party includes complimentary signature drinks and champagne served until 6:00 p.m.
Dinner service begins at 6:30 p.m. following introductions by emcee Jason McMichael.
Live music will be provided by the Supersonic Hearts Band, with silent and live auctions running throughout the night.
High-value auction items include a VIP concert package for The Tea Party, a hockey getaway for the Ottawa Senators and Toronto Maple Leafs, and a variety of local dining, wellness, and home improvement experiences.
