SUMMARY:Stanley Brown Band Live!
DESCRIPTION:The 216 LOUNGE is so proud and excited to present the incredible award winning STANLEY BROWN BLUES BAND on Saturday August 5 at 8 pm to close. NO COVER. Amazing beer & cocktail prices + incredible music! The Stanley Brown Blues Band is a high energy jump-swing combo fronted by STANLEY BROWN performing lead guitar/lead vocals\, with STEPHEN ASH on bass. Stanley is a five time nominee and 2017 winner of the prestigious Jack Richardson London Music Award for best Rock & Blues musical artist. Stanley Brown brings over thirty years of experience to the stage with his playing style rooted in blues\, blues rock and swing blues. He has performed over this time with several successful bands including The Rockin DeSoto’s\, The Roadmasters\, The Nervous Wrecks and The Diamond Blues Band. Stanley’s playing style is heavily influenced not only by great guitar players but also from his love of horn and piano riffing which when combined with his constantly walking rhythm style and punchy vocals\, make for a big sound and lively performance. Stanley has shared the stage with bluesmen such as Mac Arnold of Muddy Waters band fame\, Funk Brother and Hollywood walk of famer Gary Martin\, and 2X Canadian Juno award winner Jack DeKeyzer. SGCC is so very proud and honoured to have the Stanley Brown Blues Band command our stage. It’s happening at the 216 Lounge. Keep watching for more new and exciting musical artists to come as the all new Petrolia Legion 216 Lounge entertainment keeps coming! \nSTANLEY BROWN BLUES BAND VIDEO\n216 LOUNGE 4129 Glenview Rd Petrolia ON Royal Canadian Legion Branch 216\nwww.petrolialegion216.ca/\n#petrolia #lambtoncounty #livemusic #bluesmusic #beer #cocktails #nightlife #entertainment #legion #216lounge

SUMMARY:Lambton County Library’s Used Book Sale
DESCRIPTION:Lambton County Library is hosting its annual Used Book Sale on Wednesday\, July 26\, 2023\, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (or while supplies last) at the Wyoming Fairgrounds\, 595 Main Street\, Wyoming. \n“The book sale is a great opportunity to recycle duplicate copies of popular books or non-circulating copies of books and make room on the shelves in our 25 libraries for new titles\,” said Brian Bowley\, Technical Services Supervisor with Lambton County Library. \nThe Used Book Sale features a variety of books\, audiobooks and DVDs in all categories that have been withdrawn from the library collection due to age\, low circulation\, wear\, and other factors. Items are priced to sell at $1 for adult titles\, and $0.50 for children’s titles. Alternatively\, shoppers can fill their own standard-sized shopping bag for $5\, with a limit of six bags per person. Only cash payments will be accepted\, and all sale proceeds will offset the library’s operating costs. \n“Last year’s Used Book Sale was significantly larger than typical years\, since we had not hosted a book sale for several years due to the COVID-19 pandemic\,” continued Bowley. “This summer’s event will offer a smaller selection than last year\, and the majority of books that will be available are adult titles.” \nBuilding capacity limits will be enforced to ensure all shoppers’ safety and well-being. Shoppers should be prepared for queueing outdoors in variable weather conditions. Shoppers are encouraged to follow Lambton Public Health’s recommendations for preventing heat-related illness.
