On Thursday, Sept. 19, students gathered at the back campus to participate in a meaningful tradition that honoured the legacy of Terry Fox and supported cancer research.

Each class was called to the back campus to walk laps, promoting teamwork and physical activity while contributing to an important cause. The Grade 12 leaders were outside with motivational signs, cheering, and music. After the laps, everyone gathered in the John Thrasher Gymnasium for a special assembly that celebrated the day’s achievements and highlighted the significance of Terry's mission.

This year, the event made a significant impact, with over $3,000 raised for cancer research! This incredible effort showcased the commitment and spirit of the students, as everyone was encouraged to participate, making it a truly inclusive event.

To cap off the day, students looked forward to a fun pie-in-the-face event, where teachers volunteered to take a pie for the cause, ensuring plenty of laughter and camaraderie.

The PLF4M class was proud to lead this event, reminding everyone of the importance of community and the fight against cancer.
