In response to "Neighbourhood opposition threatens affordable housing project"
Dear Editor,
I read with utter dismay that city council just turned down a proposal for affordable housing here in Sarnia. For heaven's sake! What are these councillors thinking? For months and months, they have been arguing with each other regarding the homeless encampments in our area. Here we have a government-funded solution and they are saying , "No!" Are they aware that there are elderly people currently using emergency accommodations here in Sarnia because they were "reno-victed" from their formerly affordable apartments? Get a heart, people! And, remember, all of us are just a paycheck away from a similar situation. How can you live with yourselves?
