I came to Sarnia in December 1979 for a six week engagement that would have seen me return to Montreal when I was finished. That was my plan. During my stay, I came to appreciate all of the factors you brought to mind in your article. I found that small town feel that wrapped me up in its warm welcome blanket, met the love of my life, celebrated our 29th anniversary and, I am still here 45 years later.
Yes, Sarnia is more than just another town to me. I have made many friends here, enjoyed the passage of time in a place that was welcoming and engaging. Great little town. I have moved many times in my life. I am not moving any more. This is my home now.
