The local winner had all the letters needed for a big payday
A Corunna Grandmother is $250,000 richer after winning the top prize on an Instant Crossword Deluxe scratch ticket.
Leslie Miller, 61, has been playing the scratch game twice weekly for about five years and can’t get over her first big win.
“I stopped to get a ticket on my way to pick up my grandson so I could play while waiting for him,” Miller said in a press release issued by OLG this week.
"I noticed I won as I was scratching the ticket and screamed.
“This is insane!”
The winning ticket was purchased at the Milk Marc Variety on Wellington Street in Sarnia. Miller’s grandson and boss were the first to know of her big win, “They were happy.”
As for what she plans on doing with the winnings? She is paying off her daughter’s vehicle while purchasing a new one for herself.
