The Aamjiwnaang Community Cookbook project is now accepting recipe submissions. Residents are encouraged to share their favourite traditional dishes, long-held family recipes, and the stories or memories that give those meals their meaning. Submissions can be made by email or in person.
Organizers say the goal is to build a diverse and meaningful collection that reflects the Nation’s history and lived experiences, while also strengthening intergenerational connections.
The cookbook will be compiled by the team at the Aamjiwnaang Health Centre. Community members are welcome to submit more than one recipe, and personal reflections are encouraged but optional.
For questions about the project or assistance with submissions, residents can contact Tammy, Mino Miijim Worker, at 519-332-6770 ext. 323 or [email protected].
