Sarnia’s South Western International Film Festival is offering a free screening of Sleeping Giant on April 19, as part of National Canadian Film Day.
The film by director Andrew Cividino was selected to the 2015 Cannes Film Festival, won Best First Feature Film at the 2015 Toronto Internationals Film Festival and was also nominated for four Canadian Screen Awards.
The story about a trio of teens one summer on Lake Superior will be shown at the Sarnia Library Theatre, 7 p.m., followed by a Q&A with the star of the film, Jackson Martin of London.
Admission is free; a donation to the festival appreciated.
