Bomb threat resolved

Sarnia Police and international law enforcement resolved an Oct. 9 bomb threat at Great Lakes Secondary School. The threat to the former SCITS building was received via the Internet and mentioned the involvement of ISIS.

The threat to the former SCITS building was received via the Internet and mentioned the involvement of ISIS.

The local cybercrimes unit and other agencies traced it to New Jersey and an 18-year-old suspect.

The teen, who had no connection to ISIS, said he was trying to prank the high school.

Criminal charges were being considered, police said.
