The City of Sarnia and the Seaway Kiwanis Club are once again cooperating to host the beloved holiday event. The Christmas on the Farm tradition will transform the park and its farm area into a festive holiday scene.
The event will take place on the following dates:
Friday, December 5, from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m..
Saturday, December 6, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m..
Recreation Coordinator Sean Hanlon noted the event's importance, saying, "It just wouldn’t be the holiday season in Sarnia without Christmas on the Farm. It’s always exciting for us to welcome our residents for a wide range of free festive fun that will be sure to delight the whole family".
Attendees can look forward to a variety of free attractions and activities, including:
Roasting chestnuts.
Rides on the Children’s Choo Choo Train.
Ice-carving demonstrations.
Horse and carriage rides.
Story Time with Mrs. Claus.
Cookie giveaways.
A holiday photo booth.
Free admission to the Animal Farm.
Santa will also be making an appearance to visit with children on Saturday, December 6, at 1 p.m..
To accommodate the event, the Park Service Road will be closed west of Lake Chipican Drive from Friday, December 5, at 3 p.m., until Saturday, December 6, at 1:30 p.m..
Sarnia Transit will be offering a shuttle service between Northgate Plaza and the event on both December 5 and 6. Regular transit fares will apply for the shuttle.
