It’s the most elaborate year yet.
The cul-de-sacs abutting the walkway in Point Edward were decorated by teams of neighbours Saturday in preparation for Friday Dec. 1 at 7 p.m.
That’s when the lights will officially be turned on and everyone is invited to enjoy the decorations, some cocoa and caroling along the path.
The fourth annual Christmas Cheer Light Up the Cul-de-Sac event is a warm-up to festivities planned for the next day.
On Saturday Dec. 2 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m, Point Edward offers a fun-filled and free Christmas in the Village featuring everything from Santa and treats to a campfire and barista challenge.
Attractions include:
• Santa at Suzy’s Ice Creamporium;
• Cookies and hot chocolate at the fire hall;
• Horse buggy rides and the Polar Express bus;
•Smores and campfire at Manley’s;
•Face painting, balloon twisting and carolling; and
•Barista challenge at Los Puntos, Marcin Bowl, Point Brewing and Stevie D’s;
Those who bring non-perishables to Albert’s Fries for the Inn of the Good Shepherd will get discounts on fries, hot dogs and drinks.
Numerous other events take place the same day including the St. Paul’s Anglican Church Christmas Market at 210 Michigan Ave.
