A community is rallying following a devastating weekend fire that destroyed two homes in Courtright.
Donations are being collected all week at both Watson Timber Mart and Courtright Variety, to help raise funds for those impacted by the fire that broke out Saturday evening at home on Templeton Crescent.
“Firefighters arrived on the scene and immediately commenced fire suppression operations,” St. Clair Township Fire Department said. “There were two homes, vehicles and an RV involved.
“The fire was extinguished, and no one was injured. Three pets were rescued.”
The cause of the fire has been deemed accidental.
St. Clair Township Fire is also reminding residents to test and check smoke and CO alarms monthly; develop and practice a home fire escape plan; and always stay in the room when cooking and turn appliances off when you leave.
