Lambton County Developmental Services (LCDS) has appointed several new members to its Board of Directors and Foundation Board of Directors in September as the organization marks 70 years of empowering people with developmental disabilities in Lambton County. The new leadership joins as LCDS continues its vision of fostering inclusive communities where everyone belongs.
The LCDS Board of Directors provides strategic leadership, supports financial oversight and fundraising, and strengthens community outreach for the organization.
New members of the LCDS Board of Directors include:

In addition to the new members, Tim Hendra has been welcomed as the new Board Chair, with Jill Cousins serving as Past Chair. LCDS also thanked Jane Joris for nine years of dedicated service on the board.
The Foundation Board focuses on advancing the LCDS mission by shaping strategic direction, supporting fundraising, and advising on charitable events like the signature Fusion food and drink event.
The new members of the LCDS Foundation Board of Directors are:
Ruth Gallant (Forest): A former LCDS employee, Gallant continues to serve as Treasurer for Forest United Church.

LCDS Executive Director, Nick Salaris, noted that welcoming new board members is a "reflection of our legacy and a commitment to our next 70 years," which will help the organization continue building inclusive communities across Lambton County.
To cap off the anniversary year, LCDS invites the community to attend Fusion: A Discovery of Local Food, Wine & Craft Beer on November 7 and 8 at DeGroot’s Nurseries in Sarnia. The event supports increased inclusivity for people with developmental disabilities.
