Police say officers responded to a collision on Queen Street around 2:20 a.m., Friday, where a vehicle had struck a parked dump truck, with both vehicles sustaining significant damage.
“The driver was transported to hospital due to injuries sustained,” a news release noted. “Also, grounds were formed to arrest the driver for impaired operation of a motor vehicle.”
Breath samples taken at the hospital indicated that the driver was approximately three times the legal limit.
The driver now faces one count of impaired operation and one count of having a blood alcohol concentration of 80 plus.
