Voting is continuing until Saturday for the The People’s Choice Award at this year’s CANstruction in Lambton Mall.
Unlike other categories, the People’s Choice Award is determined through “votes” of cash donation placed at a voting station for each of the 18 structures on display.
The winner will be announced on Saturday, March 21 at 1 p.m., two hours after the voting is cut off.
CANstruction is a “food raiser” for the Inn of the Good Shepherd in which teams build sculptures from boxes and cans of food that are later used by the food bank and soup kitchen.
The other winners were announced March 8. They are:
* Junior Outstanding Structure: St. Clair Colts and Langtree for ‘Taste the Rainbow’
* Best Use of Labels: OLG Casino Pt. Edward for ‘Can of Fortune’
* Structural Ingenuity: David Gilchrist Architect and Steeves & Rozema
* Judges Favourite: LEHDER Environmental Services for ‘Hunger Stings’
* Best Meal: Worley Parsons for ‘WP Fries’
* Most Cans: Worley Parsons for ‘WP Fries’ (more than 4,400 cans)
* Most Green Cans: TD Canada Trust for ‘The Green Comfy Chair’
