Families in Sarnia are invited to Canatara Park on October 25, 2025, for the return of Fright Night at Cana-Scare-A-Park, an annual Halloween celebration.
Hosted in partnership with the Seaway Kiwanis Club, the event promises plenty of "frights and delights" with self-guided haunted houses of varying scare levels, along with other spooky entertainment.
City Recreation Coordinator Sean Hanlon said, “We’re gearing up for another hauntingly good time, so get those costumes ready for the return of Fright Night, our celebration of the Halloween season at Canatara Park.”
Main attractions include the Marcotte Bone Collector, which offers guests the chance to climb aboard a spooky garbage truck. The event will also feature trick-or-treat stations and Pumpkin Alley, which will showcase 200 creatively carved pumpkins by local secondary school and college students.
New this year is the Witch’s Hut Escape Room, where guests can challenge themselves in groups of up to seven to find a priceless heirloom and escape.
Fright Night is completely free to attend, with the exception of food sales, and runs from 5 to 10 p.m..
To prepare for the event, volunteers will begin installing decorations and displays in the area near the Animal Farm starting October 14. Additionally, to facilitate the event, the Park Service Road / Catchcart Boulevard west of Lake Chipican Drive will be closed from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on October 25, 2025.
