A federal grant of $43,400 will contribute to upgrades at the dual ice-surface arena and improve accessibility for people with disabilities.
The planned improvements include two wheelchair-ready change rooms and showers, which would allow Clearwater to host future sledge hockey tournaments.
Accessible entrance doors and a family bathroom are also part of the project.
The overall proposal, estimated at $157,000, has yet to go to tender.
