Volunteer Sami Brook runs downfield with young lacrosse players Emily Coyle, Sophia Majeski and Ava Boles during a game of Janie Twohander Lacrosse in Canatara Park.

The program launched by Brian Dewagner and wife June Partridge three years ago has grown to include 80 girls, who gather for training and games Thursday’s on Canatara’s big field.
