UPDATED: Worker killed in explosion

A fundraising campaign has been launched to help the family of Jason Miller, the worker who died following an Oct. 25 industrial explosion on Scott Road. Six people including Miller were injured in the blast and fire at Veolia Industrial Services.

A fundraising campaign has been launched to help the family of Jason Miller, the worker who died following an Oct. 25 industrial explosion on Scott Road.

As of presstime, a second worker was still in critical condition. Three others were in a London burn unit and one sustained minor injuries.

Eight people were working in the plant when an explosion and subsequent fire erupted at 2:45 p.m.

Veolia provides industrial cleaning and maintenance services.

The investigation was turned over to the Ontario Labour Ministry.
