The final event in the Jordan’s Run the Runway 5K series is set to take place at the Sarnia Chris Hadfield Airport on Thursday, October 3.
Presented by Siskinds LLP, the event invites participants of all ages and abilities to run, walk, or roll down the airport runway. The 5K is the last of a four-part series held across Southwestern Ontario and will proceed rain or shine, beginning at 5:00 p.m.
The series is held in memory of Jordan Strickland, a former volunteer counsellor at YMCA Camp Queen Elizabeth.
Over the past 11 years, the run has raised $1.6 million. According to organizers, proceeds from the Sarnia-Lambton event will be used locally to provide financial assistance for community members to access YMCA programs and services.
Registration and further information can be found on the YMCA of Southwestern Ontario website.
