Tourism Sarnia-Lambton is seeking a new executive director following the departure of Mark Perrin, with an interim leader now in place.

Tourism Sarnia-Lambton is beginning the search for a new executive director following the departure of Mark Perrin, who had led the organization since 2018.
Board Chair Al Duffy confirmed Perrin left the role on March 24 after approximately seven years with the organization. During his tenure, Perrin brought experience in sports marketing and played a role in initiatives such as Bluewater Borderfest.
In the interim, Marketing Director Adam Veen has been appointed to lead the organization. Veen is expected to provide continuity during the transition period as the board prepares to recruit a permanent replacement.
The board has indicated it plans to begin the hiring process in the near future, with the goal of filling the position within the next three to four months.
Perrin’s departure comes amid ongoing discussions between Tourism Sarnia-Lambton and municipal partners across Lambton County. In recent years, some municipal leaders raised concerns about the organization’s responsiveness to local tourism events and engagement with communities.
Efforts were underway in early 2026 to strengthen those relationships, including scheduled visits by Perrin to municipal councils. He met with representatives in Warwick Township in February and St. Clair Township in March, and had been expected to appear before Petrolia council later in March, though that meeting was postponed.
Board leadership has said the organization remains focused on improving collaboration with municipal partners and ensuring it delivers on its commitments to stakeholders across the region.
Further details about the recruitment process have not yet been released.
