Manleys Basics, the locally loved, independently female-owned Canadian company and family-run business, recently marked a remarkable milestone, celebrating 125 years of service with a highly successful community BBQ event.

The celebration recognized the company's deep roots in Sarnia and Lambton County, which date back to its founding in 1900. Originally opened as a small bookstore and newsstand on Lochiel Street by Blanche and Tom Manley, the business evolved over the decades. Today, under the leadership of Peter's daughters, Lisa and Carolyn, Manleys Basics remains committed to providing top-quality office products, supplies, and furniture, leveraging its substantial buying power as a member of Canadian Workplace Solutions (CWS).

The community BBQ served as a heartfelt thank-you to the generations of customers and neighbors who have supported the enterprise. The Manleys Basics team, many of whom live and raise their own families in the area, continue their unwavering commitment to community excellence as they look forward to the future.
