An additional 48 City of Sarnia employees made $100,000 or more in income last year, bringing to 237 the number of “sunshine club” members on the municipal payroll. Firefighters and police officers once again led the way.
An additional 48 City of Sarnia employees made $100,000 or more in income last year, bringing to 237 the number of “sunshine club” members on the municipal payroll.
Firefighters and police officers once again led the way. A total of 103 fire staff and administrators topped the $100,000 threshold required for public disclosure, and 101 police and administrators made the list.
City manager Margaret Misek-Evans was the city’s highest-paid employee ($180,948) followed by police chief Phil Nelson ($174,458) and deputy police chief Bob Farlow ($169,377).
Five others had salaries exceeding $150,000 in 2016: staff sergeant David Bonnema ($155,230), staff sergeant Scott Clarke ($156,812), staff sergeant Paul Mamak ($161,291), city engineer Andre Morin ($154,914) and Sergeant Paul Mullins ($150,177).
