Field staff from Pollutech Environmental are conducting a species-at-risk assessment in preparation for an extension of The Rapids Parkway.
They will be photographing trees, plants, birds and notable habitat over several days.
City Hall is preparing to clear vegetation from that section of trail before plotting the location of the road extension and the rerouted trail beside it.
